I Will Never Forget I will never forget the sound of the sheriff’s flashlight as it rapped against our glass patio door.

I will never forget the uncontrollable shaking in my knees.

I will never forget rallying friends and family to pray.

I will never forget the sinking in my heart as we read your last text.

I will never forget the blood curdling screams when the coroner called.

I will never forget the crushing heartache in our children’s eye’s as we shared the shattering news.

I will never forget the phone calls made to family and friends.

I will never forget the words uttered in disbelief.

I will never forget the droves of people that flooded our home.

I will never forget the meals made.

I will never forget the prayers said.

I will never forget the cards sent.

I will never forget the flowers and the fall colors.

I will never forget the long embraces.

I will never forget the dark and lonely nights.

I will never forget discovering things I wish I never knew.

I will never forget strangers becoming life-long friends. I will never forget the Lord’s nearness.

I will never forget feeling the Lord’s strength.

I will never forget grappling with God’s promises.

I will never forget the faithfulness of God’s people.

I will never forget the Bible verse you set apart.

I will never forget that the worst day we have ever known was the BEST day you have ever known.

I will never forget that this is not the end.

I will never forget to cling to God’s truths.
