About Ryan Nelson
The year 2019 found Ryan immersed in the intense world of Marine Corps Infantry Training. Yet, even amidst the discipline and demands, his heart held a clear vision. In his training notebook, a list of dreams for his 19th year took shape, and one aspiration reigned supreme. Right there at the very top, a testament to his core belief, were the words "God above all else." Although Ryan's faith journey was not polished and filled with struggles, this simple phrase encapsulated Ryan's deepest desire, but it was also the guiding light for his life.
The Heart Behind The Mission
It all comes back to one simple truth: "God Above All Else". Like every faith journey, Ryan's was not without its struggles, but through every season, this truth remained his foundation. Through fundraising, apparel sales, and more, we seek to share that same hope and purpose by supporting Suicide Prevention Awareness. We believe in fostering a community where help is accessible and lives are valued.

When we lost our son Ryan James Nelson to suicide in 2020, our world was shattered. In the aftermath, as we walked through pain, questions, and sorrow, God gently reminded us that even in the darkest valley, He is still sovereign. He is still good. And He is still near.
God Above All Else is more than a website. It’s a place for the brokenhearted. A space where stories of loss intersect with the living hope of Jesus. A platform where faith, mental health, and grief are held in the light of God’s truth. Our prayer is that every visitor would encounter the comfort, strength, and promise that only Christ can give.
